Sing me something sweet
To put me to sleep at night
Under the stars or in your arms
Is where I want to fall asleep
Whisper in my ear
All the good thing's you hear
So I can sleep soundly
Without any nightmares
Sing me a lullaby
Made up of only sweet things
That you love about me
And that make you smile
Play me something beautiful
To calm the waves
Of my beating heart
It's about to burst
Sing me a lullaby
Of all the things
You've never wanted
To say
Play it beautifully
On your guitar
So only I can hear
Your voice
Sing me a lullaby
That I can fall asleep to
In your arms or under the stars
I'll sleep anywhere if you're there
So sing me a lullaby
From the bottom of your heart
That's filled with your love
And so much more
To put me to sleep at night
Under the stars or in your arms
Is where I want to fall asleep
Whisper in my ear
All the good thing's you hear

A Childish Heart
I don't know where my heart is anymore
I lost the pieces when you broke it
I'm sure they're around,
But where?
It took me over a year to find them again the first time,
And even then I didn't have all of them.
So now what am I to do?
I don't have a full heart,
It's worse than before
I'm not sure how much is missing,
How much you made me lose,
But it's enough.
Enough to make me start writing
Start thinking,
Start crying,
And start dying.
Maybe you have some pieces held hostage
That would be something you do
You took everything else from me,
My happiness,
My laughter,
My hope,
So what's a little more?
Why not take my enti

I remember when it was you and me against the world. We'd been friends since forever, and it was going to stay that way: Just us, a quiet redhead and a messy blonde, a reader and a runner, a dancer and a player. Nothing would tear us apart.
11.
Middle school, and all the girls were talking about all the boys (or the cute ones, anyway.) I played on my cello and you danced to the music with the sky in your eyes and a thimble on your smile.

High school was a blur of firsts for us: Our first test-kiss, our first boy-kisses, my first hangover, your first high. My mom left, and your dad died, but it was still us against the world, and a

Your Voice
I owe my hope
To your voice.
Full of light
And angelic flow.
You sang of
Angels
Of devils
And love.
You strummed
Your guitar
To the soul
Of your voice.
You touched the
Piano
Giving it blood
And life.
You brought
Me to a higher
Place than
I've ever been.
You made my

More natural.
More at ease.
Now you
Bring me to
My death
My world turned upside down.
I hold
Tight onto my
Cell phone.
Wanting you to call.
I stay there still
Not moving.
Everyone is worried
They tell me to give up.
I wish that
You'll call.
I wish that
You're safe.
But even I
Know that wishes
Don't come true.
You won't be back.
